Emily has been teaching outdoor education for over 10 years. She fell in love with the outdoors as a child camping and going to the beach with family. She’s spent most of her career in environmental education setting, from completing a year with Americorps, building trails through out the Southwestern United States, to leading sea kayaking expeditions with Outward Bound. Emily has been working on the Pali Institute team since February 2014, moving in to her new role in December 2016. She enjoys hiking and exploring the National Parks and loves living in the southern California mountains, where she can still be close to the ocean.
