Education: Andy graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Zoology. He minored in Environment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability.

Andy's favorite things to do were fishing on Lake Erie, collecting rocks, and going to the local science museums. He joined the Cub Scouts when he was very young, and while earning his Eagle Scout, he realized that he really liked camping, hiking, teaching, and studying the ecology. At Ohio State, he helped with a course on biological diversity, and spent a summer catching birds in Illinois (for science) before moving to Flagstaff to volunteer with a Conservation Corps.
